Divorce is a reality in a lot of relationships today. If there are children involved they must be the first priority in moving forward as parents. Divorce will affect them in many ways, but for parents there are a lot of ways you can make this transition more smooth. Often times one or both parents are assigned co-parenting therapy. This can look like individual therapy with an emphasis on ID/Processing effectiveness and hindrances to insight and emotional awareness as it pertains to co-parenting and emotionally supporting a child after a divorce. Or this can look like meeting with you and your ex for group co-parenting therapy.
