Can’t Or Won’t

Aug 23, 2021 | Clinical Psychotherpy

In this weeks video counselors Dr Kevon Owen and Jack Smith are talking about “Can’t Or Won’t”. Your mind and your self-talk are more important than you may realize. If you tell yourself that you can’t do something then it can become a self fulfilling prophecy. ” I can’t lose weight” or “I can’t be successful’. You most likely will see these things come to pass. Change your mind and the way you speak to yourself and you might be very surprised as to what happens.

Doing this when you have had a lifetime of practicing this can be more difficult than one thinks. You can change this. Notice everything you are telling yourself. Are you defeating yourself before getting started? I won’t is a declaration of your dedication of refusing to do something. I can’t is a declaration of doubt you can perform or fulfill something. Both are defeating. You can change your mind and actions and self talk. Depending on the level of this is how difficult it might be to change.

Help is available to for going through and making a positive change in your life. Counseling is great help that can be utilized to your advantage. Change is very possible. Contact Dr Kevon Owen to seek help about these matters. He can be reached at 405-740-1249 or 405-655-5180. You can also find more information at Kevon’s website at https://www.kevonowen.com.
