Easily Offended

This video features counselors Dr Kevon Owen and Destini Ramsey and Sarah Billings and they are discussing “Easily Offended”.

Unless you are home bound and never deal with anyone chances are when you do interact with others there can be a time when something someone else said will offend you, upset you or make you angry. What they have said to you possibly isn’t true or a personal slight that does offend you.

How do you react? Or do you react? If this person is a friend and the relationship over time has been positive you might either let it go or you can ask about their statement and get more information. Maybe they had no intention of hurting or offending you. This might be worth finding out.

We all have feelings and do get hurt by offensive comments by others. Question is is it worth letting it ruin your day or harboring ill will toward someone else? Probably not. The other person may not realize that they have offended you.

It is your choice as to how you react to this. Many times when it is a friend, family or a loved one it might be best to let this go before damage to the relationship is caused. If you have problems with being easily offended and need to speak with someone about this a counselor might just be a great choice for help and a neutral party.

If this is a problem you are having then contact Dr Kevon Owen for guidance. Your mental health is important. Kevon can be reached by calling 405-740-1249 or 405-655-5180. More information is also available at https://www.kevonowen.com.
